Yields enough sauce for 8-10 pieces of chicken
BBQ Sauce Ingredients
1 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp. molasses
3 tbsp. honey
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. smoked paprika
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
You will also need:
Chicken 8-10 pieces
Directions
In a medium saucepan add all wet ingredients and whisk well to combine.
Add all dry ingredients to BBQ mixture and whisk to prevent clumping.
Set burner to medium heat; simmer for 15-20 minutes or at least thick enough to coat a spoon.
Evenly split BBQ sauce into 3 bowls. Using bowl one, glaze chicken before baking.
Glaze again using the second bowl of BBQ between baking time.
Bake chicken at 375°F for 20 minutes or until the chicken's internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Before serving, use the last bowl of BBQ and a CLEAN BRUSH OR SPOON to add a final layer of flavor to your chicken.
Variations
Use 1-2 tbsp. rice syrup or date syrup and 1/8-1/4 cup brown sugar instead of molasses and honey
Use 1 cup raisins or 1 cup of pitted dates (soaked in hot water until soft) instead of molasses and honey
